Who Can Join
Masters Students, Undergraduate Students

Project Description
This project is designed to develop and validate decision models (mathematical, stochastic, hybrid) to improve the early detection and management of Bovine Respiratory Disease (BRD). The goal is to create models that provide an understanding of BRD to aid prediction, optimize treatment protocols, and reduce economic losses. This research will leverage advanced statistical methods, machine learning, and clinical trial data to enhance the accuracy and reliability of BRD management systems.

Team Needs
Open to undergrads in Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, etc. Ideal mentees must be motivated with an interest in artificial intelligence, livestock systems, data science, modeling, and coding with Python.

Special Opportunities
Students will gain exposure to cutting-edge AI tools and methodologies used in sustainable livestock systems research. Professional development and high future career prospects in Artificial Intelligence modeling. Opportunity to learn research methods, get publications, and collaborate with students from other institutions. Networking and Mentorship opportunity which will open doors to future collaborations, internships, and job opportunities.
