Project Description
VRTEX is a virtual reality education initiative at Texas A&M’s LIVE Lab that supports K–12 learning through immersive, technology-enabled educational experiences. The program works with schools, coordinators, students, families, and community partners to expand access to engaging STEM learning opportunities.

We are looking for student volunteers to support VRTEX marketing and communications. Volunteers will help create social media posts, flyers, website content, communication materials, camp/tournament promotions, and resources for coordinators, teachers, parents, and students. This is a great opportunity for students interested in education technology, marketing, design, communications, storytelling, project management, or nonprofit/program outreach.

Team Needs
We are looking for motivated students who are creative, reliable, and interested in helping communicate the impact of VR in education.

Skills or interests that would be valuable include:

Social media content creation
Graphic design or flyer design
Canva, Adobe tools, or similar design platforms

No prior VR experience is required. Team members should be willing to learn, communicate consistently, meet deadlines, and collaborate with the VRTEX program team.

We also prefer students who are open to using AI tools responsibly to brainstorm ideas, draft content, improve designs, and complete tasks more efficiently.

Special Opportunities
Volunteers will gain hands-on experience supporting a real education technology program that works with schools, students, families, and community partners. This is a strong opportunity to build practical experience in marketing, communications, design, outreach, and project coordination.

Team members may have the opportunity to create materials that are actually used by the VRTEX program, support communication for camps and events, contribute to school and coordinator resources, and build a portfolio of social media posts, flyers, newsletters, website content, and other outreach materials.

This role is ideal for students who want meaningful experience, enjoy creative work, and are interested in education, technology, marketing, or community impact.
